Yule/ Winter Solstice
Commonly Celebrated: December 20-22nd
Symbols: Mistletoe (Protection throughout the year, best burned at Samhain (Sow-an)the following year), Yule tree, lights and candles, Yule log (Adorned with holly, sprigs of mistletoe, pine and/or annointed with oil appropriate to the tradition), seasonal foods, rain dear, the stag.
Actions: Rest, contemplation of the prior year, goals and accomplishments, preparing for the new "planting" of ideas and goals, preparation, friendship, family, hobbies, story telling around the hearth fire, home and health.
Colors: Silver and Gold (for the Goddess and God) Greens, reds and whites.
